Hi, we are Alex and Shenae, a husband/wife duo based in the south west of WA. We met at uni in 2011, studied film, made out, travelled Aus in our troopy, came to the conclusion that we already lived in the best place in the country, moved home, started Simple Ben Stories!

Consider us a fly on the wall. We aren’t here to tell you how to flick your hair for the camera; we want to capture the actual day in all of its beauty, which to us means highlighting the setting that you spent weeks searching for, the grooms nervous smile, and your maid of honours ugly cry (I hope she’s not reading this).

Q Do you have a travel fee? If so, how much do you charge?

It will depend on the location! Please let us know where you are getting married and we will calculate travel and accommodation fees.

Q Can we pay for an additional videographer?

All of our packages are inclusive of two videographers so no need to pay extra fees. Having two videographers allows us to capture all of the important details of the wedding whilst still having a free pair of hands to film the fun in the background!

Q How do you choose the music that you edit to?

We are big on supporting Australian music and for all projects we try to find artists who are looking to break into the music industry. They help us, we help them - it’s a win win for everybody. !

Q When will we receive our wedding film?

The final film will be posted to you on a beautifully handcrafted wooden USB within 8 weeks. Don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging; your highlight or artistic teaser video will be emailed to you within 3 weeks.

Two weeks out from our wedding we had grandparents who could not make it due to ill health so we tried to find a videographer last minute so that they could still experience the day. Our photographer (light the love) Lauren suggested I reach out to Simple Ben Stories, Shenae and Alex. Shenae and Alex were available and happy to jump on board so we booked them without any issue. I cannot express how good their service is, they are a down to earth, beautiful couple who just slotted into our day without a hitch, it felt like we had known them for years. They are talented, amazing people who I would have again and again without hesitation. We are incredibly happy with our wedding video, it oozes love and really captures the nature of our day. Thank you so much Shenae and Alex! we couldn’t recommend them more!

Couldn't Asked for Better Videographers

We got married on a long weekend in Pemberton, W.A. I was nervous having a videographer as I’ve been to weddings before where the video crew are always in my face or just plain annoying. I really didn’t want to torture my guests. Alex and Shenae were completely opposite. IT WAS AMAZING! And they didn’t miss a minute! They have the skill to be out of the way, yet capture all the best moments. I genuinely recommend the two 100%. Their creative workmanship shows, as all my friends getting married, have booked their services.
