What is the ideal timeline to begin a skincare routine before the big day?
If you want a big overhaul change and to give your skin a chance to look absolutely flawless, ideally I would recommend to allow yourself at least 6 months. However, in saying this you can start to notice small changes and achieve improvement with your skins texture and hydration within 2-4 wks.
I would recommend booking in a consultation with your beauty therapist to see what your options are and to establish a great skin routine to work for you. If your in the Southwest you can book a consultation with me at Hidden Beaute here.
It’s 2 months before my wedding day! Have I left my skincare too late?
No not all.. if your after some small changes, this is still very achievable. Home care is key and very important to see results if you have a small window of time to achieve your skin goals.
Are there any special wholly grail skincare treatments you would recommend before the wedding?
100% ! Any Collagen boosting & Hydrating products are ideal treatments to have and use before your big day. These can be best achieved with treatments in the salon consisting of skin needling and peels with the addition of a good home skin care regime.
What are your fave skincare products and why?
Hands down the La Clinia Skin care range! It has something for everyone and is also Australian made.
Ideally should I be doing my skincare in the morning or at night or both?
For optimum results definitely Morning + Night. My best advice to maintaining your skincare regime consistently is to make sure all your products are on display, to ensure you use them everyday.
What are your top tips for achieving flawless skin?
Great Skincare regime
Plenty of water
Does diet effect skin? Are there any particular food groups I should be adding or avoiding in my diet before my wedding day?
I would definitely recommend adding and incorporating avocados , leafy greens , tomatoes, berries , nuts and fatty fish to your diet as well drinking plenty water. Aim for 2-3 Litres a day!
I would also suggest reducing high sugary foods as they can cause your skin to play up.
One last question. I am fake tanning for the wedding. Should I fake tan my face too, or will it cause breakouts?
Fake tan can definitely cause dryness to your skin. However, I would recommend asking your makeup artist at your trial prior to the wedding and having a discussion with them to see what they prefer.
